What you will learn in this Episode:
In this episode, Janet breaks down her 3 step process to gaining clarity and empowering your life's purpose. Janet will explain how clarity and purpose depend on each other; and why you can't have one without the other.
Janet has a proven track record using her 3-step process in her corporate role and personal coaching business.
What does it mean to have clarity?
Clarity is an action. To have clarity, you must seek it and take action. One can not expect clarity to come to you if you sit around; you must take action.
When someone takes action, they gain clarity, that action begins to lift the fog in their mind, and they begin to gain clarity of what they want to achieve.
When someone takes action, they also invite other emotions like fear and self-doubt, which are common protective responses. Taking action begins by embarking on something new or stepping out of their normal boundaries.
Why is finding clarity and purpose so important?
Making the commitment to seek clarity is essential because you've taken the first step; you no longer choose to leave things up to chance. You are choosing to control your life and choose what best suits you.
Controlling your outcome brings greater joy, fulfillment, and satisfaction. One begins to gain the certainty of peace that comes from getting clear with what one wants and the steps that need to be taken to make those things happen.
What is one's true purpose in life?
Finding your purpose is not something you seek or discover by reading a book. The key to finding one's purpose can only be found within oneself, “Your purpose is you and only YOU.”
Our purpose is to be the healthiest, most fulfilled person who heals our traumas by getting past our barriers and getting closer to our authentic selves.
Once you have tapped into being your true authentic self, you begin to get a clear vision of your world and take the necessary steps to find your happiness.

What is the 3-steps process to gain clarity and empower one's life purpose?
The 3-step framework is:
Purpose: Understand that your purpose can only be found within yourself.
Finding your purpose within yourself will take some time; it's a journey worth exploring. Understanding that you are worth and capable of living your best life.
You are worthy of love, happiness, and every other fantastic experience that comes from accepting your life's purpose.
Passion: Tapping into the things that you are passionate about. Some of us have this inner voice that tells us to do something; listen to your inner voice and get inspired.
It's believed that your intuition is the inner voice that tells you to try something new. Listen to your intuition; it wouldn't surface inside you telling you to do something if it didn't believe you could do it.
You have so much potential inside you that it is just waiting for you to take that risk.
Inspiration: Do things that give you inspiration. Creativity comes from inspiration.
Some people gain inspiration from exercise, journaling, or from nature. Do things that feed into your inspiration.
When you practice doing the things that inspire you, you begin to develop the strength to eliminate the negative voice in your head. The negative voice that causes fear and self-doubt or tells you, you can't do the things you are striving to do.
When you open yourself to trying new things, you will discover which activities or actions make you happy. Those are the things that inspire you. Once you have identified your inspiration, schedule time to do these activities or acts. Doing so, you will begin to develop clarity. Action brings clarity.
Our lives are filled with many distractions that could make it impossible to hear our inner voice. Try removing yourself from everything that distracts you from listening to your inner voice.
Try meditation if you cannot hear the inner voice that encourages you to try something new. If you don't want to meditate, practice being still or quieting your mind.
How a coach can help you achieve clarity and purpose in your life journey
As a coach, Janet analyzes what the client wants to achieve and what they believe are barriers getting in their way or holding them back. Janet listens to the words a client uses to describe their world.
Once Janet understands their thinking process and gets an idea of the client's situation, she takes the client through reprogramming those thoughts and beliefs into empowering ones. Ones that allow them to believe that they can change or get past whatever keeps them stuck.
As a coach, Janet encourages all her clients to dream big. Encouraging her clients to dream big without barriers is healthy because it gives them a sense of purpose. Through purpose, one begins to develop clarity.
Conclusion: Understanding you are your purpose and getting clarity
The first step to help one navigate clarity is to understand your purpose. Get clear, “your purpose” is not found in someone else, nor can it be purchased. “Your purpose” is you and always will be you.
The second step is to pursue your passion, whatever that may be. If you are not sure what your passion is, trust the inner voice inside you or your intuition and try doing things that make you feel uncomfortable.
And the third step is to find inspiration. If you are struggling to find inspiration, lean on your passion. Doing things that you are passionate about will often guide you toward inspiration.
